Network and Systems Administrator

Our rapidly growing company in Svalbard is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network and Systems Administrator to join our team. As the Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our network and computer systems to ensure smooth operations for our employees. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1700$, along with visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure network security by implementing appropriate security measures
- Maintain servers, workstations, and other computer systems
- Install software updates and patches as needed
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware and software issues
- Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in network administration or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP), LAN/WAN technologies, VPNs, DNS/DHCP
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CCNA or MCSE would be an asset
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
