Turner - Metal Machinist



We are hiring a skilled Turner (Metal Machinist) to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining metalworking machines to shape, form and fabricate metal parts according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various metalworking machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
- Read blueprints and specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the required part
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of the finished product
- Work with a variety of materials including steel, aluminum, and brass
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot issues with machines and make necessary adjustments
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Proven experience as a Turner or Metal Machinist
- Strong knowledge of metalworking machinery operations and maintenance
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
- Proficient in basic math skills and able to accurately measure dimensions
- Good physical stamina and dexterity for operating heavy machinery
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
