Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards. You will be based in our restaurant located in the vibrant city of Os in Norway, known for its breathtaking natural surroundings and delicious cuisine.
In this role, you will work closely with our team of chefs to create a menu that showcases the unique flavors and ingredients of Norwegian cuisine. You will also be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, inventory management, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards.
We are looking for a talented and experienced chef with a passion for creating innovative dishes and leading a team. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience as a sous chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel. A degree or diploma in culinary arts is preferred, along with knowledge of Norwegian cuisine.
The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently is crucial for success in this role. You must also have strong leadership skills to guide and motivate your team towards achieving our goals. As a Sous Chef, you must be able to communicate effectively with team members and maintain a positive working environment.
In addition to your culinary skills, we value creativity and attention to detail when it comes to food presentation. The ability to come up with new ideas and adapt existing recipes is essential. You should also have knowledge of food costing and portion control techniques to help us maintain profitability.
