Job Title: Data Mining Specialist


As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing large sets of data to identify patterns and trends. You will use various methods such as machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques to extract valuable insights from the data. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in data mining tools and techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Collect and analyze large sets of data from various sources
- Use data mining tools to clean, organize, and manipulate the data
- Apply machine learning algorithms and statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends
- Create visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain databases for efficient storage and retrieval of data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide insights for decision-making
- Monitor and evaluate data quality to ensure accuracy and reliability of results

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data mining or related role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R or other programming languages used for data analysis
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques such as regression, clustering, classification, etc.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders

We offer a competitive salary of 1400$ per month in addition to other benefits. This position is located in Svalbard but we are open to candidates who can work remotely.
