Job Title: Computer Support Specialist
We are a leading tech company in Faroe-Islands and we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Support Specialist to join our team. As a Computer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our clients and employees. Your role will involve troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and maintaining network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and escalate complex cases to the appropriate department
- Install and configure computer systems, including operating systems and software applications
- Maintain network systems, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Perform system updates and backups as needed
- Train clients on how to use new hardware or software products
- Keep track of all support requests in a ticketing system
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Computer Support Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software applications, networks, and security protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively under pressure
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid work permit for Faroe Islands (preferred)
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of 900$ per month for this full-time position.
