Shaper - Woodworking Specialist


We are in search of a skilled Shaper, preferably from the Philippines, to join our team in Bungoma. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and cutting wood using specialized tools and equipment. This is a contract position with a salary of $1200 per month, along with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Operate shaper machines to shape and cut wood pieces according to specifications
- Read blueprints and drawings to determine precise dimensions and shapes for wood pieces
- Use hand tools and power tools to trim, smooth, and finish wood pieces
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed while operating machines and handling materials
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain clean and organized work area at all times

Requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a Shaper or similar role in the woodworking industry
- Proficient in reading blueprints and drawings
- Familiarity with various types of wood and their characteristics
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for shaping and cutting wood
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in shaping wood pieces

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working on contract jobs. Accommodation will be provided for non-local candidates. Fluency in English is required for effective communication with team members.
