Pastry Chef at a Luxury Resort in Faroe Islands

Our luxury resort in Faroe Islands is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team. As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious pastries and desserts for our guests. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and prepare a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
- Develop new recipes and menu items while incorporating local ingredients
- Ensure all pastries are presented in an attractive manner
- Maintain high standards of food quality and consistency
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff
- Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and place orders as needed
- Comply with sanitation regulations and maintain a clean working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop new recipes and menu items
- Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Previous experience working in luxury resorts or fine dining restaurants is preferred
Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Faroe Islands (relocation assistance provided if needed)
