Pastry Chef at a Luxury Hotel in Funchal, Portugal
As a Pastry Chef at our luxury hotel in Funchal, Portugal, you will be responsible for creating and executing exquisite desserts and pastries for our guests. You will work closely with the Executive Chef to design and develop menus that showcase your creativity and expertise. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing visually appealing and delicious desserts and pastries
- Creating new dessert recipes while also maintaining existing ones
- Managing inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies
- Training, mentoring, and supervising junior pastry staff
- Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborating with other chefs to plan menus for events or special occasions
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and equipment
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop unique dessert concepts
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary: $1500/month (negotiable based on experience)
