Junior Database Administrator

We are currently hiring a Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Roskilde. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their availability, security, and performance. You will work closely with our IT team to troubleshoot any database issues and optimize database performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support to users
- Maintain data security and integrity through regular audits and updates
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions
- Collaborate with other IT teams on projects that involve database integration or migration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with SQL language and data modeling concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
- Previous experience as a Database Administrator or similar role is a plus
- Certifications in database administration or related fields are desirable
