Database Administrator

As a Database Administrator for our company in Roskilde, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases to ensure their reliability, security, and performance. You will work closely with the development team to design and implement database structures that meet the needs of our organization. Your role will also involve monitoring database activity, troubleshooting issues, and implementing backup and recovery plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining database structures
- Ensuring data integrity and security
- Monitoring database performance and troubleshooting issues
- Implementing backup and recovery plans
- Collaborating with the development team to optimize database usage
- Performing regular system upgrades and updates
- Managing user access and permissions
- Documenting database processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL and other programming languages
- Experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or SQL Server
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and migration techniques
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience working with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month.

Location:
This is a contract job located in Roskilde. Relocation assistance may be provided for candidates outside of Denmark.

Nationality/Visa Requirements:
This position is open to all nationalities with valid biometric passports. Candidates must also be eligible to work in Denmark.

Please note that this is not an entry-level position. Previous experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role is required. However, we welcome freshers who meet the other requirements to apply and grow in this role.
