Information Security Analyst vacancy in Alta Norway

Information Security Analyst
The Information Security Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of our company's data and systems. They will be based in our office in Alta, ensuring that all sensitive information is protected from cyber threats and unauthorized access. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security protocols and procedures, as well as experience with risk assessment and incident response. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. The salary for this role is 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to identify potential security breaches
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement security measures, such as firewalls and encryption, to protect company data
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security trends and technologies
- Train employees on security awareness
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper configuration of systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in information security
- Knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS)
- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools (Nmap, Nessus)
- Understanding of risk management principles
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills

Preferred:
- Certification in information security (CISSP, CISM)
- Experience in incident response handling
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA)

Location: This position is based in Alta but candidates from other locations are welcome to apply.

Salary: The salary for this role is 1500$ per month.
