Pastry Chef at Luxury Hotel in Monte-Carlo, Monaco
We are looking for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Monte-Carlo, Monaco. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing desserts, pastries, and other baked goods for our hotel's restaurants and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing creative and delicious dessert menus that align with the hotel's overall culinary concept
- Preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and breads in a timely manner while maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Managing inventory of pastry supplies and ingredients while ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
- Training and supervising junior pastry chefs, bakers, and kitchen staff on pastry techniques, recipes, and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborating with other chefs to create well-rounded menus that cater to various dietary restrictions and preferences
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating innovative desserts that impress guests and meet quality standards
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety procedures
- Ability to manage inventory levels efficiently while minimizing waste
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team of pastry cooks
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or Pastry Making from an accredited institution
- Certification in food safety or sanitation
- Fluency in English (French proficiency is an asset)
- Must be legally eligible to work in Monaco
