Junior Librarian


We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Librarian to join our team in Faroe-Islands. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting in the organization, cataloguing, and maintenance of our library's collection. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about books and eager to gain experience in the field of librarianship.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the organization and shelving of library materials
- Cataloguing new acquisitions using the library's database system
- Assisting patrons with locating materials and answering general inquiries
- Maintaining the cleanliness and order of the library space
- Participating in outreach programs and events to promote library services
- Collaborating with other librarians to develop new programs and services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic knowledge of cataloguing principles and library operations
- Proficient in using computer systems, including databases, Microsoft Office, and internet research tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1500 per month

Location: Faroe Islands (accommodation provided)

Note: This job is open to candidates without prior experience. However, preference will be given to those with a biometric passport as this position is urgent.
