Commercial Architect

As a Commercial Architect, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of commercial buildings in Svalbard. Your main goal will be to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that meet the needs of our clients while adhering to building codes and regulations. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to discuss their needs, budget, and timeline for commercial building projects
- Create detailed plans, drawings, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and meet all requirements
- Research building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations to ensure compliance
- Prepare project proposals, estimates, and budgets
- Oversee construction progress to ensure that projects are being built according to plans
- Make adjustments or modifications to designs as needed during construction
- Conduct site visits to inspect construction quality and address any issues that may arise

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience working as an architect on commercial projects
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
- Excellent communication skills for working with clients, contractors, and team members
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary: 1300$ per month

Location: This position is based in Svalbard but applicants from all nationalities are welcome.
