Part-Time Tester
We are in need of a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Tester to join our team in Svalbard. As a Tester, you will be responsible for conducting tests on software and applications to ensure they meet quality standards before they are released to the public. Your main duties will include identifying bugs, documenting test results, and providing feedback to developers. To excel in this role, you should have experience with testing methodologies, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a part-time position with flexible hours, making it an ideal opportunity for students or those looking for additional work.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional and non-functional tests on software and applications
- Identify bugs and document them using bug tracking tools
- Collaborate with developers to provide feedback on bugs and errors
- Develop test cases based on project requirements
- Report test results accurately and in a timely manner
- Analyze test data and provide recommendations for improvements
- Keep track of testing progress and communicate any issues or delays to the team lead
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tester or similar role
- Familiarity with testing methodologies such as black box and white box testing
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred but not required)
Salary: 1300$ per month (pro-rated for part-time hours)
Location: Svalbard (preference for local candidates but open to all)
Note: This is not a remote position. Candidate must have own visa or be eligible to work in Svalbard.
