Head Baker

As the Head Baker at our bustling bakery in Acre, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the baking process and ensuring that our high-quality baked goods are made with precision and care. You will lead a team of bakers and assistants, training them on proper techniques and recipes, while also managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Main responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire baking process from start to finish, including mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking
- Train and supervise a team of bakers and assistants, ensuring they follow proper techniques and recipes
- Manage inventory levels to ensure we always have enough supplies for production
- Order ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain stock levels
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety standards
- Create new recipes or adapt existing ones to keep up with current trends and customer preferences
- Monitor product quality to ensure consistency and make adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with other departments such as sales or marketing to develop new products or promotions

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Baker or similar role in a fast-paced bakery setting
- Extensive knowledge of different baking techniques and methods for various types of baked goods
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and calculating recipe yields
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a physically demanding environment
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Preferred qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification in Baking/Pastry Arts would be an advantage but not required
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Prior experience working with Indian cuisine would be beneficial
