Mason - Contract Position in Faro, Portugal


We are searching for a skilled and reliable Mason to join our team on a contract basis in Faro, Portugal. As a Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing various structures made of brick, stone, concrete, or other materials according to blueprints or specifications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and develop their skills in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints or specifications to determine the materials needed and layout of structures
- Measure and cut materials to the required size using hand or power tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto surfaces using trowels
- Lay bricks, stones, or other materials in horizontal rows or patterns
- Use levels, rulers, plumb lines, and other tools to ensure structures are straight and level
- Fill gaps between bricks or stones with mortar and remove excess mortar with trowels
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones
- Clean work area after each shift to maintain safety standards

Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Mason preferred but not required
- Knowledge of construction principles, techniques, tools, and materials
- Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately
- Strong mathematical skills for measuring and cutting materials
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Own transportation to job sites

Salary:
The salary for this contract position is 1500$ per month.
