Interpreter/Translator



We are currently seeking a skilled and professional Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Los Angeles. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and efficient interpretation services between English and Malayalam for various clients in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:
- Provide oral interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and other events
- Translate written documents from English to Malayalam and vice versa
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Research technical terminology to ensure accurate interpretation
- Adapt to different dialects, accents, and cultural differences in order to provide effective communication between parties
- Keep abreast of industry developments and new vocabulary in both languages

Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and Malayalam (verbal and written)
- Proven experience as an interpreter or translator preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with translation software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret accurately, quickly, and clearly
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to adapt accordingly
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to handle sensitive information with discretion

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or related field preferred
- Relevant certification from a recognized institution is a plus
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment. Applicants must have their own visa or be authorized to work in the United States.
