Librarian Assistant



We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian Assistant to join our team in Siauliai, Lithuania. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging and organizing materials, assisting patrons with research needs, and maintaining the library's collection.

Salary: 1300$ per month

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Knowledge of library systems and cataloging practices
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in English (required)

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging new materials and maintaining accurate records in the library system
- Organize and shelve books, periodicals, and other materials according to established procedures
- Assist patrons with research needs by providing guidance on using library resources effectively
- Monitor the use of library facilities and equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to superiors
- Participate in collection development by recommending new materials for purchase based on patron needs
- Assist with library events and programs, including setting up displays and promoting services to patrons
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments in order to provide quality service to patrons

Contract job: This is a contract position for a duration of one year, with possibility of extension based on performance.
