Construction Manager in Svalbard

As a Construction Manager in Svalbard, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all construction projects within the city. Your main duties will include coordinating with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will also be responsible for obtaining necessary permits and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 5 years of experience in construction management, preferably in Arctic or remote locations. A biometric passport is required as the job may involve travel to different locations within Svalbard. Accommodation will be provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and engineers to plan and execute construction projects
- Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Create project timelines and manage project budgets
- Monitor progress of construction projects and make adjustments as needed
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process
- Ensure that all safety standards are met on site
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide project updates

Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in construction management
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong communication and leadership skills
