Senior Construction Manager



As a Senior Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects in Svalbard. Your main goal will be to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and manage construction projects from start to finish
- Create project schedules and budgets, and track progress accordingly
- Procure necessary materials and equipment for each project
- Hire and supervise subcontractors and construction workers
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
- Communicate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address any issues or concerns
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to meet project goals
- Conduct site visits to inspect work quality and resolve any issues that may arise
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status, expenses, and changes in plans

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and materials
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as lead a team

Salary: $900 per month

This is a full-time position with accommodation provided. We welcome candidates of all nationalities who have their own visa for working in Svalbard. This is an urgent position so we are looking for someone who can start immediately.
