Database Administrator
Location: Aarhus, Denmark
We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Aarhus, Denmark. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security and performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures and systems
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot issues related to databases, applications, and operating systems
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Develop and maintain documentation of database systems for technical support teams
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design for application performance
- Perform upgrades and patches as needed to ensure system stability
- Train users on how to properly access and utilize the databases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong understanding of database management systems (MySQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with data backup, recovery, and security protocols
- Proficiency in data manipulation languages (SQL)
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python) is a plus
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Salary: $1200 per month
