Experienced Turner for Metal Fabrication Company in Nakuru
We are looking for an experienced Turner to join our metal fabrication company in Nakuru. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating machines to shape and cut metal parts according to specifications. Your primary role will be to turn, bore, thread, and face metal workpieces using manual and CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Operate manual and CNC machines to create metal parts according to specifications
- Set up and adjust machine settings for different materials and cutting tools
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accurate dimensions
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders to determine the correct machining processes
- Inspect finished products for quality control purposes
- Troubleshoot issues with the machines or materials as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner or similar role in metal fabrication
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machines
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Knowledge of different types of metals and their properties
- Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects if needed
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality control
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary: 1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nakuru, Kenya
