Moderator for Online Community in Svalbard

As a Moderator for our online community in Svalbard, you will be responsible for maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere for our users. Your main duties will include monitoring user activity and ensuring that all posts and comments adhere to our community guidelines. You will also be responsible for responding to user inquiries and providing support when needed. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided, making it an ideal job for students or anyone looking to relocate to Svalbard.

We are seeking a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for fostering online communities. While experience in moderation is preferred, it is not required as we are willing to train the right candidate. However, having a biometric passport is necessary due to the nature of our online platform.

Your responsibilities as Moderator will include:

- Monitoring user activity and ensuring compliance with community guidelines
- Responding to user inquiries and providing support when needed
- Maintaining a positive and engaging atmosphere within the community
- Collaborating with other moderators to address any issues or concerns
- Enforcing consequences for users who violate community guidelines
- Regularly reviewing and updating community guidelines as needed

To excel in this role, you should have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Additionally, proficiency in multiple languages is a plus as our online community is diverse.
