Head Chef: Indian Cuisine
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join our team in Mauren. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of authentic Indian cuisine in our restaurant. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and design menus featuring traditional Indian dishes, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Monitor food quality and presentation to ensure consistency and customer satisfaction
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and maintain kitchen equipment
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, pricing, and cost control measures
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Advanced knowledge of traditional Indian recipes and cooking techniques
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
Preference will be given to candidates with a diploma or degree in Culinary Arts. Fluency in English is required for effective communication with both staff and customers. This position is open to all nationalities.
