Part-Time Turner in Almada, Portugal


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Turner to join our team in Almada, Portugal on a part-time basis. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and tools to shape metal into specific forms according to blueprints or other specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, and other machinery to cut, shape, and finish metal parts
- Read and interpret blueprints or other specifications to determine the dimensions and tolerances of the final product
- Adjust machine controls to regulate factors such as cutting speed, depth of cut, and feed rates
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot any issues with equipment or materials
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Turner or similar role
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Physically fit with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
- Preferred nationality is Portuguese or EU citizen due to visa requirements

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this part-time position.
