Job Title: Database Administrator - Esbjerg, Denmark


We are hiring a Database Administrator to join our team in Esbjerg, Denmark. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security and efficiency. Your role will involve monitoring database performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to optimize data storage and retrieval. You will also be responsible for creating backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure the safety of our data. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience with database management systems. This is a contract position with a salary of 1700$ per month. Visa sponsorship is available for non-Danish nationals.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes for maximum efficiency
- Create backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure the safety of our data
- Maintain database security by implementing access controls and regular updates
- Collaborate with other teams to identify database needs and provide technical support
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in database technology
- Conduct regular performance analysis and propose solutions for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, backup/recovery procedures, and SQL coding
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
