Part-Time Instrument Technician

A reputable music school in Funchal is seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of various musical instruments, including string, wind, and percussion instruments. They will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and tuning of instruments used by our students and faculty.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on all instruments
- Repair damaged or malfunctioning instruments
- Tune instruments to ensure optimal sound quality
- Keep accurate records of instrument repairs and maintenance
- Communicate with students and faculty regarding instrument needs
- Order necessary replacement parts and supplies
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop area

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in instrument repair preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as an instrument technician
- Strong knowledge of various musical instruments and their construction
- Familiarity with different types of wood, metal, and other materials used in instrument making
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Good communication skills

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, suitable for someone looking for supplemental income. The salary for this role is $1000 per month. Accommodation is available for the right candidate if needed.
