Back-End Developer


We are hiring a Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side of our web applications. Your primary focus will be ensuring high performance, scalability, and security of our systems while working closely with front-end developers and designers.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable server-side code
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements into applications
- Troubleshoot and debug issues in a timely manner
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure data security and protection by implementing data encryption techniques
- Conduct regular system maintenance tasks including monitoring, backups, and updates
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to current systems

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- In-depth understanding of web development concepts (HTTP protocol, RESTful APIs)
- Proficient in server-side languages such as Java, Python or Node.js
- Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL or MongoDB
- Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1500 per month.

Location:
This is a full-time position located in Funchal, Portugal. Remote work options may be available after an initial period of on-site training.

Experience:
We require at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Accommodation:
This position does not include accommodation. The candidate must have their own housing arrangements in Funchal.
