Back-End Developer


We are searching for a skilled Back-End Developer to join our growing team in Bergen. As a Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the server-side of web applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing server-side logic, ensuring data security, integrating data storage solutions and optimizing code for maximum speed and scalability. This is a full-time position that requires at least 2 years of experience in back-end development. The role does not provide accommodation but is open to all genders. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain server-side logic for web applications
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications
- Ensure data security by implementing appropriate security protocols
- Integrate data storage solutions such as databases or file systems
- Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
- Troubleshoot and debug issues that arise on the server side
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in back-end development

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
- In-depth understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience working with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
- Familiarity with front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
