Junior Librarian


We are currently hiring for the position of Junior Librarian in our esteemed library located in the beautiful city of Jerusalem. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Librarian in managing the library's collection, providing research and reference services to patrons, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the library.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with organizing and maintaining the library's collection of books, journals, and other materials
- Provide research assistance to patrons by helping them locate relevant resources
- Assist with cataloging new materials and maintaining accurate records of borrowed items
- Help patrons with using library equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure all materials are accounted for
- Assist with planning and organizing library events such as book clubs or guest lectures
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in using library databases and cataloging systems
- Good understanding of information literacy principles
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluent in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage)

Salary:
Salary for this position starts at 1700$ per month.
