IT Manager



We are currently seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team in Svalbard. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our information technology department and ensuring that all systems are running smoothly. You will work closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology, excellent communication skills, and previous experience managing a team. This is a part-time position with a salary of $1400 per month.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the information technology department
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology needs
- Identify areas for improvement and provide solutions to increase efficiency and productivity
- Manage a team of IT professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure data security and system reliability
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and make recommendations for upgrades or changes as needed
- Manage budget for IT department and ensure resources are allocated effectively
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues as they arise

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience in information technology management
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, security protocols, and databases
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- Proven experience managing a team and implementing successful projects on time and within budget
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a multicultural environment is preferred
