Job Title: Surveying Technician


As a Surveying Technician, you will work closely with surveyors and engineers to collect, analyze and map data for construction, engineering and land development projects. Your main responsibility will be to set up and operate surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser levels to measure angles, distances and elevations. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, recording data, and preparing reports.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in surveying or related field
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser levels
- Knowledge of land surveying principles and techniques
- Strong mathematical skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English (French is a plus)
- Biometric passport (valid for at least 6 months) for international travel

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate surveying instruments to collect data on land features, elevations, boundaries, etc.
- Record data accurately using both manual methods and computer software programs
- Analyze collected data to identify any discrepancies or errors
- Prepare detailed reports based on collected data for engineers and surveyors
- Maintain equipment in good working condition by performing regular maintenance checks and repairs when necessary
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure project goals are met within established timelines
- Adhere to safety procedures while working on job sites
Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
