Turner - Metal Machinist

A reputable manufacturing company in Porto is seeking a skilled Turner - Metal Machinist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating lathes, mills, and other metalworking equipment to produce high-quality parts according to blueprints and specifications. As a Turner - Metal Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and adjusting machines, selecting the appropriate cutting tools, and monitoring the production process to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
- Operate various metalworking machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine production specifications
- Set up and adjust machines according to specifications
- Select the appropriate cutting tools for each job
- Monitor the production process to ensure quality control
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Make adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Turner - Metal Machinist or similar role
- Proficiency in operating lathes, mills, grinders, and other metalworking equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong mathematical skills for precise measurements
- Excellent attention to detail
- Physical strength and stamina for standing for long periods of time and lifting heavy materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Turner - Metal Machinist or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of safety procedures when operating machinery

Salary: $1000 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Porto (no accommodation provided)

Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
