Head Chef
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in the beautiful city of Utena. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. Your culinary expertise and creativity will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our restaurant and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain menus that reflect seasonal availability and meet the restaurant's standards
- Manage food inventory and ordering to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to maintain a smooth operation
- Oversee food preparation to ensure quality and consistency
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Creativity in developing new dishes while also maintaining classic favorites
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate kitchen staff
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
