Indian Executive Chef in Nairobi
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Nairobi. As the head of our kitchen, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, overseeing food preparation, and managing the kitchen staff. Your creativity and expertise in Indian cuisine will be crucial in elevating our restaurant's reputation and satisfying our customers' palates.
Responsibilities:
- Develop creative and authentic Indian menus that reflect our restaurant's concept and appeal to our target market
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high quality and consistency
- Manage inventory and control costs while maintaining high standards for food quality
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a reputable Indian restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian cuisine, as well as modern techniques and trends
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Experience in menu development, cost control, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to legally work in Nairobi without sponsorship
Salary:
