Executive Pastry Chef
We are a luxurious hotel located in the bustling city of Ajman, seeking a talented Executive Pastry Chef to oversee our pastry department. As the Executive Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing innovative pastry menus and ensuring the highest quality of desserts and pastries are presented to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop unique pastry menus that cater to our diverse clientele
- Oversee the production and presentation of all pastries and desserts
- Train, mentor, and lead a team of pastry chefs to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in the pastry kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments such as banquets and restaurants for special events or menu changes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Pastry Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant
- Extensive knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and presentation styles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is an advantage)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Salary:
Starting salary at 1600$ (negotiable based on experience)
