Our library in Svalbard is currently seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and organizing events and programs.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library's collection, including cataloging, shelving, and weeding
- Assist patrons with reference inquiries and research needs
- Plan and organize engaging events and programs for all ages
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new services and programs
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in librarianship and implement new technologies as needed
- Train and supervise library staff members and volunteers

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Previous experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to assist patrons of all ages and backgrounds
- Knowledge of current library technologies, software, and databases
- Fluency in English (additional language skills are a plus)
