Cashier for Indian-owned Store in Nairobi



We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier to join our team at an Indian-owned store in Nairobi. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Scan items, process payments, and issue receipts
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
- Resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain knowledge of store products and promotions
- Keep checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements:
- Fluency in English (Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
- Previous cashier or retail experience is preferred but not required
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own visa to work in Nairobi (sponsorship not provided)
- Accommodation can be provided for female candidates if needed

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with flexible working hours. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1400 per month.
