Blast Furnace Operator
Location: Malindi, Kenya


We are in search of a skilled Blast Furnace Operator to join our team at our steel manufacturing plant in Malindi. As a Blast Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the blast furnace, which is a critical component of the steel production process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the blast furnace according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor temperature and pressure levels in the furnace and make adjustments as needed
- Load raw materials such as iron ore, coke, and limestone into the furnace
- Use specialized tools to control air flow and combustion levels within the furnace
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during production
- Keep accurate records of production data and report any abnormalities to superiors
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred
- 2+ years of experience as a Blast Furnace Operator in a steel manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of blast furnace operations, equipment, and safety procedures
- Physical ability to work in a high temperature environment with heavy lifting involved
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Nepali language is an advantage

Salary:
