Milling Machine Operator


We are hiring a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our growing team in Nairobi. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1000$ per month, and we also offer part-time positions for students.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate milling machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read blueprints, technical drawings and instructions to determine the proper sequence of operations
- Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments
- Keep equipment clean and well-maintained
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of various types of milling machines and their functions
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written

Preferred:
- Experience with CNC milling machines is a plus
- Experience working with different materials such as metal or plastic
- Knowledge of G-code programming
