Preservation Architect
We are currently seeking a Preservation Architect to join our team in Wiltz. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients and collaborate with a team of architects, engineers, and contractors to develop preservation plans and oversee their execution.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on historical buildings and structures to understand their original design and construction methods
- Evaluate the current condition of historical buildings and determine necessary restoration or preservation measures
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and historic preservation guidelines
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals for the building or structure
- Work with a team of architects, engineers, and contractors to execute preservation plans
- Monitor progress of restoration projects and ensure adherence to timelines and budget
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and address any issues that may arise
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, techniques, materials, and regulations related to historic preservation
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Professional experience in historic preservation preferred
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles
- Extensive knowledge of historic preservation guidelines, regulations, materials, and techniques
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams as well as external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to travel for site visits as needed
Salary: $1600/month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Wiltz (open to candidates from Canada or other countries)
Employment Type: Contract (with possibility of extension)
