Part-Time Librarian

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Librarian to join our team in Bayan. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting library resources and services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature and information literacy, along with excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the circulation of library materials, including checking in/out books, issuing library cards, and collecting fines/fees
- Assist patrons with research and reference inquiries, providing guidance on using library resources and databases
- Plan and execute educational programs and events to promote literacy and encourage community involvement in the library
- Catalog new materials into the library system and maintain accurate records of all materials
- Develop and maintain relationships with local schools to facilitate outreach programs for students
- Stay updated on current trends in literature and information literacy to ensure the library's collection remains relevant
- Train new staff members on library policies and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience working in a library setting
- Strong knowledge of library classification systems (Dewey Decimal or Library of Congress)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with library databases/catalogs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service-oriented mindset
