Collections Specialist



As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and collecting payments from clients in a timely and efficient manner. You will work closely with our accounting and sales teams to ensure that outstanding invoices are addressed promptly, and that payment plans are established if necessary. This is a full-time position located in Bungoma, offering a salary of 1500$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Contact clients with outstanding invoices via phone call or email to remind them of their payment obligations
- Work with clients to establish payment plans and negotiate settlements when necessary
- Monitor payment schedules and follow up on any missed payments
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with clients and update relevant data in our system
- Collaborate with the accounting team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
- Communicate with the sales team regarding any potential credit risks or delinquent accounts
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices related to collections

Requirements:
- Previous experience in collections or accounts receivable preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to handle difficult conversations with clients in a professional manner
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs
- Experience working with Quickbooks is an asset
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Canadian nationality preferred but not required
- Fluency in English is required
