Typesetter - Contract Position in Balzers


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Typesetter to join our publishing team in Balzers. In this contract position, you will be responsible for formatting and arranging text and images for various print and digital publications. As a Typesetter, you must have a strong eye for design and be able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
- Format and arrange text and images using desktop publishing software (e.g. Adobe InDesign)
- Ensure accuracy of spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure consistency in style and layout
- Review proofs for errors before final publication
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting technology

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Typesetter or similar role
- Excellent attention to detail and strong visual eye
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software, particularly Adobe InDesign
- Strong understanding of typography principles
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team

Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with Indian languages (e.g. Hindi, Tamil, Telugu)
- Experience working on publications for the Indian market
- Knowledge of different typesetting techniques (e.g. kerning, leading)
- Experience with digital publishing platforms (e.g. Kindle Direct Publishing)

Salary: 1700$ per month
