Resume English Teacher (ESL) in Portugal Lisbon

I am a native English speaker from the UK with over 8 years of experience teaching English to learners of all ages and levels. I have worked with children, teenagers, and adults in both one-to-one and group classes, delivering engaging, well-structured lessons focused on communication, confidence, and practical language use. I am experienced in adapting materials to suit different learning styles and levels, and I place strong emphasis on creating a positive, supportive classroom environment. I am reliable, enthusiastic, and passionate about helping students achieve their language goals, and I am now seeking an ESL teaching position in Lisbon where I can continue to grow professionally while contributing to a high-quality learning environment.

I have a strong educational background relevant to English language teaching, supported by formal study and recognised teaching certification. I have completed higher education at university level and hold English language teaching training (such as TEFL-based certification), which has provided me with a solid foundation in lesson planning, teaching methodology, classroom management, and learner assessment. My training has focused on communicative language teaching, adapting lessons for different ages and proficiency levels, and supporting students in developing practical speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly build on my training through hands-on teaching experience and reflective practice.

Over the past few years I have been studying Spanish and now I can speak at an advanced level. I am currently doing the same now for Portuguese. Professionally I have many skills as you cans see in my CV. I love to learn new things and I am always up fro a challenge.

I am currently in Lisbon as a UK citizen but on a tourist visa. I will require support in order to work legally in Portugal.
