Experience: COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF NAKURU, NAIVASHA SUB-COUNTY -January 2020 To March 2020 I did my course attachment in at the county government of Nakuru. I was attached at the department of social services where I worked under the supervisor of the ward administrator. As an attaché at the department, my work is in the following areas: - Assessing youth owned businesses funded by the county. - Actively engaging with people in the community in making sense of issues which affect them and providing solutions that offer self-improvement. - Distribution of relief food offered by the county government. - Coordinating with various NGOs in assisting communities under concentrated poverty. - Counselling of street children and their recruitment to youth based programs in the county. - Registration of Youth groups, self help groups and CBOs. - Distribution of assistive technology for people living with disabilities. The position gave me an exposure to the social work at the county level. I was trained in dealing with different kinds of people in the society. Furthermore, I demonstrated self-motivation, responsible behavior while working with or without supervision. This helped in my application of the knowledge I have and taught me a lot about being a team player. Volunteer Experience. Community Development Volunteer (2020 May-2020 August) Maji Safi, Nakuru, Kenya - Assisted in the implementation of community development projects such as clean water and sanitation initiatives and small business development - Conducted community needs assessments and identified areas for intervention - Worked with community members to develop project plans and budgets - Provided administrative support to the organization in project monitoring and evaluation K-NOTE (NGO) program. (October 2020 to December 2020) I volunteered at an NGO dealing with vulnerable populations such as orphans and vulnerable children, youth and key population especially female sex workers. As a volunteer my work involved; -Distributing donations to people under the program -Providing counselling and guidance. -Assisting in the field work operations -Entering and organizing data Volunteering not only broadened my experience in field work but also brought a deeper insight on issues the vulnerable in the society face and how to interact with them. Work Experience. Yurban Rides Limited. Position held: Enrollment officer. January 2022- October 2022. I work at the Yurban Rides Limited as an enrollment officer. Yurban Rides is a Kenyan made ride hailing platform that seeks to ensure customers enjoy affordable, convenient and stress free transport at anytime and anywhere. As an enrollment officer my roles are as follows: - Sourcing for customers for the Yurban Rides Limited app. - Sourcing for drivers for the Yurban Rides Limited app. - Assisting customers in the installation of the Yurban Rides app as well as guiding them on how to navigate the app. - Assisting drivers in the installation of the Yurban Rides app as well as uploading the relevant documents required to be a registered driver of the company. - Recording of daily reports of the enrollment process and sending it to the company servers. - Doing regular follow ups on the customer experience when using the app. - Doing regular follow ups on drivers about their experience with the app. - Reporting to the company any issue raised by customers and drivers while using the Yurban Rides app.
