Experience: ARABIAN GULF UNIVERSITY (AGU) The Kingdom of Bahrain From Aug 2003-Feb 2025 My most recent teaching position took place at the Arabian Gulf University Bahrain as an English Language lecturer for first year medical students which hosts the highest performing students from across the Gulf Cooperation Council nations (GCC) in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During this time, my core responsibilities included the assessment and interviewing of potential medical candidates and the teaching and monitoring of students’ performance over the course of the academic year. Through a number of performance measures, students’ academic success was largely evaluated through class based learning methods, oral presentations and research based submissions. In addition to my year one English medicine lectures, I had the privilege of being assigned course coordinator for the newly drafted Medical Terminology course. As course coordinator, I was solely responsible for the creation, organization and the continuous monitoring of weekly exams and quizzes for 240 students. In addition to being the sole Medical Terminology lecturer, I was responsible for initiating all mid semester, final and resit exams. AMERICAN CULTURAL & EDUCATION CENTER (ACEC) Bahrain. From Jan 2008-Nov-2012/Sept 2015-2020 (COVID) ESL teacher with the American Cultural and Education Center to both adults and young learners of numerous Linguistic abilities. Core responsibilities included lecture preparation, instruction and exam generation for students-many of which included the U.S. State Department's English Access Micro scholarship Program,(Access). A US states department English program, providing English lessons to students struggling in English in main stream school and/or from a disadvantages backgrounds. Other duties included; continually assessing students’ ability, supplying end of term progress reports, providing continuous positive feedback, whilst adhering to the curriculum, codes of conduct and the strict cultural sensitivity of the students. ACEC has also received the Gold Star standard by the Educational Authority of Bahrain of which I was proudly apart of; receiving teacher of the session for my efforts. META LANGUAGE SCHOOL English Teacher (Orlando, FL) From Jan 2013 To Aug 2014 Primary responsibilities included classroom instruction, preparation and exam generation on a weekly basis. Other duties included, Individual tuition, attending workshops and meetings, providing input and feedback regarding procedural and textbook changes. Other roles included, regularly assessing students’ ability for placement purposes, monitoring and providing student progress reports and support as well as ‘homestay support’.

Strengths • Ability to take personal responsibility and accountability. Demonstrated by the number of key-projects, activities and work placements throughout my work experience. In addition, the role of course coordinator and lecturer for Year one Medical Terminology students requires sole and unequivocal levels of accountability and responsibility. • Flexibility. Throughout all areas of my work experience, I have had privilege and capacity to adapt to both countries and cultures alike and take on various roles and responsibilities due to a direct contact with customers/students and departmental managers. • Interpersonal Skills. These skills have been pivotal throughout my working experience in particular when interacting with a variety of people in both front and back house operations (hospitality) and with students of a Brazilian, Chinese and Arabic background. The implementation of a successful course at AGU was most notably dependent upon the relational structure built over time with multiple departments and personnel. • Team player. In all aspects of my experience, the success or quality of any project or task has always required a multitude of team work, listening skills and interaction with other departments from the ground up. Working in a fast paced educational settings Team work essentially played a large part in the longevity of my privilege to teach in an Arab nation without hesitation, conflict or interruption. • Attention to detail. Being assigned course coordinator for the newly drafted Medical Terminology course at AGU required an immense amount of attention to detail. As Course Coordinator, I was solely responsible for the creation, organization and the continuous monitoring of weekly exams and quizzes for 240 students. In addition to being the sole lecturer of Medical Terminology classes, I was responsible for initiating all mid semester, final and resit exams.
