Land Surveyor
City: Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team in Nairobi. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys to determine property boundaries and create maps and reports for construction and development projects. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct land surveys using specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners
- Analyze survey data to create accurate maps, boundary lines, and elevation profiles
- Prepare reports and documentation of survey findings for clients and project managers
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to ensure accurate placement of structures on surveyed land
- Keep detailed records of survey data, including measurements, calculations, and field notes
- Adhere to all safety regulations while conducting surveys
- Travel to various locations to conduct surveys as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred
- Previous experience in land surveying preferred but not required
- Proficient in using surveying equipment and software
- Strong mathematical skills for calculating measurements and angles
- Ability to read maps, blueprints, and legal documents related to property boundaries
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients
- Physically capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions
