Cashier in Doha, Qatar
We are looking for a Cashier to join our team at Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cash transactions with customers, including processing payments, ensuring all transactions are accurate and providing excellent customer service. Working closely with the other members of the team, you will ensure that the daily operations of the store run smoothly.
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well as good numerical ability. You should have some experience in customer service, preferably in a cashier or retail situation. A polite and friendly attitude is essential to build relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Processing customer payments accurately and efficiently
• Handling customer queries in a professional manner
• Counting cash in the register at the beginning and end of every shift
• Balancing cash registers at the end of each shift
• Maintaining cleanliness throughout the store
• Stocking shelves when necessary
• Ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Recording sales information accurately into the system.
The ideal candidate must meet these requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Previous cashier experience is preferred but not essential • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team • Good communication skills • Excellent numerical ability • Proficiency in basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices • Professional attitude towards customers and colleagues alike • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
